New Acura TL 'A-Spec' Available Across Canada
'A-Spec' Package Adds 19-inch Alloy Wheels and Aero Kit
TORONTO (May 11, 2010) – Acura has announced the introduction in Canada of the 2010 Acura TL A-Spec limited edition package, effective May 10, with a Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price of $51,290.
The 2010 Acura TL A-Spec features Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) and includes all of the features of the TL SH-AWD Technology Package trim with either 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed automatic transmission. The TL A-Spec includes the following unique features:
- 19-inch alloy wheels with special summer performance tires
- Full aero kit skirt package; front, side and rear skirts
- Midnight chrome grille and rear piece
- 'A-Spec' badge and 'A-Spec' floor mats
Acura is the luxury-performance division of Honda Canada Inc. Seven distinct vehicles (CSX, TSX, TL, RL, RDX, MDX and ZDX) are marketed under the Acura brand. The Acura ZDX, MDX and CSX are built at the Honda of Canada Mfg. assembly facility in Alliston, Ontario.

Hey guys,
Thought I would like to report on these brake pads.
I replaced my worn Wagner Thermoquiets with Satisfied Pro Ceramic brake pads back in summer of 2009, after some convincing by the partssource salesman. I installed the pads for both the front and rear brakes. After a few weeks of driving, I started to hear clunking/cracking noise coming from both the front and back of my car whenever I brake. I thought it was the calipers making the noise and took my car in to get them serviced, and the noise disappeared for about a week or so but came back gradually.
So today, I brought my car into my trusted shop for some troubleshooting and my mechanic felt my pads are loose after some analysis. When we got around to taking the caliper apart, you can see that the pads are at least a couple mm smaller than the width of the pad slot in the caliper. When you try to move them by hand, they wiggle quite easily in the slot. It turns out that the backing plate of the pads are not cut properly to specifications... which is common of some aftermarket pads... but not too this degree.
If you're planning to get these for replacement, I would stay away from them as far as possible. I am currently running on Vortex carbon metallic pads right now, and they seem to fit snugly and noisefree. I will give a more detailed review once I have driven on them more.
